“Saint-Petersburg diary: silver pages”

Exhibition project “Saint-Petersburg diary: silver pages” will be held in Nekrasov Library from 25 December 2007 – 20 January 2008.

Exhibition project “Saint-Petersburg diary: silver pages” is an introduction in mysterious time of “Silver age” through photo lens. This project is special because its participants are not only experienced Petersburg photographers, but also those, who make first steps in photo art, who already have their own photographic handwriting. On exhibition are represented back and white works, made in different techniques.

“Silver age” – is a unique phenomenon in history of Russian poetry, literature and art. The literature of that time is varied, vivid and heterogeneous. This time is connected with such names as A.Blok, A. Ahmatova, O. Mandelshtam, I. Severjanin, K. Chukovskij, S. Esenin, M. Zvetaeva, B. Pasternak, V. Majakovskij and many others.

Books, dedicated to the “Silver age” will be represented not only as expiates, but also on the works of exhibition participants. Life and work of famous poets, writers and artists is in details introduced in the books about “Silver age”. Participants of the exhibition are: Lilia Bichurina, Denis Bomotsirenko, Nikolaj Buyanov, Asja Nemchenok, Katerina Orlova and many others.
