From 21 December 2007 till 8 January 2008 in Exhibition hall of book and graphic Centre is led a new exhibition “Red China” by Tuman Jumabaev.
By New-year and Christmas parties famous Petersburg artist Tuman Jumabaev prepared his friends, judges and wide audience his version of “Red China”. Traveling a lot, once visited China, was amazed by the amount of red color in Under the Skies; beautiful dancers in red clothes, red banners and flags, many red balls and toys in children’s’ hands.
“This color made every simple event or action a party” – reminds Tuman. “Red” color (in Russia means beautiful) made the artist to make a number of works, dedicated to his own feelings and recollections about the trip and China.
Exposition includes sceneries, etude sketches, portraits, genre and everyday scenes – about 20 works. Undoubtedly, concept of the exhibition will correspond with pictorial palette of the artist. Being attentive to details, Tuman will dress his exhibition in juicy, vivid, making you glad holiday colors.
Tuman Jumabaev finished saint-Petersburg Academy of Arts by the name of I.E. Repin, where he formed his own individual artistic handwriting. His teachers are O.A. Eremeev, V.L. Borovik. He took part in many exhibitions in Russia, France and Germany.
Exhibition hall of book and graphic Centre is situated on Liteyniy prospect, 55, (Mayakovskaya metro station). The hall works every day from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
