This winter in restaurant “Marco Polo”, hotel "Marco Polo Saint-Petersburg", will pass “Fondue festival”. This is a national Swiss dish, which fits equally for romantic supper and for an evening in friends circle.
This action began on 1 December and will last till the end of the winter. Fondue fans can taste Fondue “Neshatel”, made of two sorts of cheese – Gruvier and Emmetal.
To make this tasty dish, which appeared in XVIII century in Switzerland, you need to melt several sorts of cheese in white wine, adding there a small amount of poor. The dish is served in a traditional cast-ironed or clay kettle.
This cheese dish is served with side dish of potato, bacon and garnish molding. Each member of the feast on his own choice puts food in warm butter in kettle. The cost of the dish makes up 700 rubles, expected for two people.
