From 21 December 2007 till 8 January 2008 in Exhibition hall of book and graphic Centre is led a new exhibition “Red China” by Tuman Jumabaev.
By New-year and Christmas parties famous Petersburg artist Tuman Jumabaev prepared his friends, judges and wide audience his version of “Red China”. Traveling a lot, once visited China, was amazed by the amount of red color in Under the Skies; beautiful dancers in red clothes, red banners and flags, many red balls and toys in children’s’ hands.
“This color made every simple event or action a party” – reminds Tuman. “Red” color (in Russia means beautiful) made the artist to make a number of works, dedicated to his own feelings and recollections about the trip and China.
Exposition includes sceneries, etude sketches, portraits, genre and everyday scenes – about 20 works. Undoubtedly, concept of the exhibition will correspond with pictorial palette of the artist. Being attentive to details, Tuman will dress his exhibition in juicy, vivid, making you glad holiday colors.
Tuman Jumabaev finished saint-Petersburg Academy of Arts by the name of I.E. Repin, where he formed his own individual artistic handwriting. His teachers are O.A. Eremeev, V.L. Borovik. He took part in many exhibitions in Russia, France and Germany.
Exhibition hall of book and graphic Centre is situated on Liteyniy prospect, 55, (Mayakovskaya metro station). The hall works every day from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

“Saint-Petersburg diary: silver pages”
Exhibition project “Saint-Petersburg diary: silver pages” will be held in Nekrasov Library from 25 December 2007 – 20 January 2008.
Exhibition project “Saint-Petersburg diary: silver pages” is an introduction in mysterious time of “Silver age” through photo lens. This project is special because its participants are not only experienced Petersburg photographers, but also those, who make first steps in photo art, who already have their own photographic handwriting. On exhibition are represented back and white works, made in different techniques.
“Silver age” – is a unique phenomenon in history of Russian poetry, literature and art. The literature of that time is varied, vivid and heterogeneous. This time is connected with such names as A.Blok, A. Ahmatova, O. Mandelshtam, I. Severjanin, K. Chukovskij, S. Esenin, M. Zvetaeva, B. Pasternak, V. Majakovskij and many others.
Books, dedicated to the “Silver age” will be represented not only as expiates, but also on the works of exhibition participants. Life and work of famous poets, writers and artists is in details introduced in the books about “Silver age”. Participants of the exhibition are: Lilia Bichurina, Denis Bomotsirenko, Nikolaj Buyanov, Asja Nemchenok, Katerina Orlova and many others.

«ART AS LINKS» project exhibition
Loran Mazar represents his exhibition «ART AS LINKS» - «Paris — New York. 1968 — 2007» in café Che (Poltavskaya Street, 3). Exhibition is led from 9 November 2007 till 9 January 2008.
Loran Mazar is a modern French photographer-conceptualist. «Paris — New York. 1968 — 2007» is his 4-th exhibition in Saint-Petersburg. You can find more detailed description on www.cafeclubche.ru. His choice of the place of the exhibition is not relevant. Intentionally he takes distance from galleries. His exhibitions are always led in non-formal places – clubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, in atmosphere of party and fun. He aims to be closer to his audience.

In his last project Mazar plunges into research of megalopolises life. Paris and New York are rarely close and far from each other. Grand Hotel Europe offers holiday dishes
25 December in Grand Hotel Europe restaurants will be served holiday dishes from chef-cook Dominique Fersho.

This autumn in white hall of the children library of history and culture of Saint-Petersburg opened Exhibition “wood mysteries” by Natalia Charushina-Kapustina.
Exhibition will work till 31 January. You can visit exhibition from Monday-Saturday from 1 till 6 p.m. On Wednesday it works from 2 till 6 p.m. Entrance is free.
Natalia Charushina-Kapustina is an eminent artist. She took part in many exhibitions in France, England, Germany and Russia. She has got a grand prize on exhibition “world of stone” in 2003.

Romualdas Pojerskis Exhibition
Rahmaninov dvorik gallery represents “Romualdas Pojerskis exhibition”, which passes from 14 December – 22 January in borders of project “Stars of world photo”. This project represents works of outstanding photographers and artists from different countries.
Romualdas Pojerskis is an eminent culture worker of Lithuania, a member of photo-artists Union of Lithuania and international federation FIAP. His works are kept in museums of France, Finland, Switzerland, USA etc. In 2004 he received Alfred Toefler award for an input in the development and keeping of central and west Europe countries culture heritage. He also received “Golden Cross of Merits” in 2006 year and several other awards.
His exhibition passes under the patronage of culture Committee of Government of Saint-Petersburg., general consulate of Lithuania, photo-artists Union of Russia and Saint-Petersburg, Rahmaninov culture center.

From 6 December – 15 January passes first exhibition of a new modern art gallery “Art object”. In the first exhibition of “Art object” gallery took part eminent Saint-Petersburg photographers: Dmitrij Konradt, Asja Nemchenok, Aleksej Ejov, Kirill Bugaev, Katja Sitnik.
Peculiarity of the creative face of each of the participants, deep individual, subjective vision of the world – all this united so multi-faceted people, working in different techniques and let create unite lyrically-philosophical atmosphere of the whole exposition. This exhibition really has something to show.
All the participants are unique; each of them has a long story to tell his audience. Aleksej Ejov, for example tells: “for me photography and painting were so different, opposite things, that it was difficult for me to explain how this two things became one. I made photos and that was separate, draw, write and that also was separate. And then I began to make photo-sketches for my works… ”.

Fondue Festival in Marco Polo restaurant
This winter in restaurant “Marco Polo”, hotel "Marco Polo Saint-Petersburg", will pass “Fondue festival”. This is a national Swiss dish, which fits equally for romantic supper and for an evening in friends circle.

To make this tasty dish, which appeared in XVIII century in Switzerland, you need to melt several sorts of cheese in white wine, adding there a small amount of poor. The dish is served in a traditional cast-ironed or clay kettle.
This cheese dish is served with side dish of potato, bacon and garnish molding. Each member of the feast on his own choice puts food in warm butter in kettle. The cost of the dish makes up 700 rubles, expected for two people.
